It was a pleasure to be in attendance at the 2021 Women in Security Awards hosted by Professional Security Magazine. The event took place on the 9th September at Shakespeare’s Underglobe Theatre in London.
The awards are the security profession’s dedicated award for recognising and honouring the accomplishments and impact of women within the wider security sector. All nominees were submitted from within the industry and judging considered the contribution made to the broader world of security, the profession, and the overall industry over and above their job role.
The black-tie event started with a drink reception, followed by a decadent four course dining experience and lead into a night of entertainment, including the awards ceremony. The whole night was graciously supported by the Security Industry Authority.
It was a spectacular evening filled with well-deserved accolades; the awards and the worthy winners can be found below:
- Security manager – Pauline Dinis
- Frontline – Denise Phillips
- Business manager – Maria Liddiard
- Technical – Olivia Crouch
- Contribution to Industry – Jayne King
Special recognition was given to Una Riley who received the lifetime achievement award at the ceremony. Una is the Chief Executive Officer of the International Professional Security Association (IPSA) and has had a prestigious career in the security industry spanning 35 years. Our CEO Joe McGee had the pleasure of escorting Una and her party to the event last night.
